Still Uncertain About The Future?

Help Is Just Around The Corner...

Welcome To The Independent Recruiting Group

Associate Network For SME Recruitment Agencies

A New Era In Recruitment Is About To Begin...

The Independent Recruiting Group changed the landscape for independent recruiters in the UK in a big way. As a Social Enterprise, its aims were to support owners of Independent Recruitment Agencies & start-up agencies in ways which were previously unimaginable – without charging any membership fees whatsoever.

Our primary services were delivered via the IRG Community (our social network platform). The IRGC was a unique Social Network platform which enabled it’s members to collaborate, communicate, share ideas, learn more, save more & earn more. It became the fastest growing network of independent recruitment agency owners in the UK between 2011 and 2013 – ending up with over 300 recruitment agency members before the end of 2012.

In addition to our online activities, we also offered discounts on core recruiter tools & services, as well as hosting regular monthly networking meetings for our members. This allowed them to further strengthen relationships with each other in a fun and relaxed social environment, as well as giving them the opportunity to engage directly with the Regional Directors of The IRG, and our Sponsors.

Unfortunately, The Independent Recruiting Group had to close it’s doors in March 2013. The primary reason for this was a lack of funding which was needed in order to continue operating (without wanting to charge membership fees). A lot of small recruitment agencies were left quite upset, as there is no other service like the IRG Community in the UK which would assist their business in the same way. However, it’s not all doom and gloom – something bigger and better will rise out of the IRG ashes… you’ll just have to wait and see!

Our final interview with the UK’s Recruiter Magazine, which explains more behind the IRG’s closure and what may be in store next, can be read here.

The IRG left behind a huge legacy – one which proved that small independent recruitment agencies CAN come together in order to realise the true power of networking with each other. Many of our old members were shocked that we closed down so suddenly, and have been very sad to see us go…

We’ve been working on some very interesting new partnership strategies behind the scenes, both in the UK and overseas. As a result, we are still confident that the IRG will return – in one guise or another. We do not have a set date as to when this will happen at the moment, but you’ll be sure to read about it in the recruitment new media when we do return.

Please check back soon for more information.
